Hi, my name is
Emily
Photographer
&
Storyteller
When my husband gifted me my first “real” camera after our second child was born, I dove headfirst into the craft. What began as a way to create better scrapbooks soon turned into something much deeper: a way to connect with people, celebrate their stories, and preserve the moments that matter most. That love for storytelling eventually led me to become a high school yearbook advisor, where I spent years photographing and teaching students to document life on campus. From sporting events and pep rallies to school dances and graduations, I was immersed in capturing the energy, emotion, and stories of those vibrant moments.
A lover of live music, tacos,
and the moments that make life
beautifully messy
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m often journaling, scrapbooking, or reading. I’m also a proud mom of three, and my kids have given me years of practice capturing their milestones and everyday adventures—from graduations and birthday parties to quiet, silly, or messy moments at home. Music is another creative outlet for me—I play the oboe and am a lover of live performances, whether it’s a musical, concert, or even just a jam session at home. I also never turn down tacos or time with family and friends over a great meal and a cocktail.
I’m inspired by connection, kindness, and authenticity—values that guide not only my life but my work. Whether it’s documenting the look of pride on a parent’s face at a graduation, the joy of a family welcoming their newest member, or the love between a father and daughter at a Color Run, these moments remind me why I do what I do. Photography gives me the chance to freeze time, to preserve stories big and small, so they can be treasured for generations.
Connecting with people,
celebrating their stories,
and preserving the memories
that matter most
For me, photography is all about authenticity. It’s about capturing the laughter, the tears, the quiet in-between moments—those unscripted glimpses of real life that tell a story words never could. I believe storytelling isn’t about the “perfect” shot but about embracing what’s real, even when it’s messy. The photos I take are meant to reflect your genuine self, the energy of the moment, and the connections that define your story.
